Grandpa Merrill flew home from Arizona every weekend and came straight to see Brynlee when he drove into Cache Valley...for Christmas he brought her a candy bar bigger than she was!

Brady's Gator Hunt

I took these pictures and the story below from an e-mail Brady wrote...
I just got back from my gator hunt yesterday. It was an awesome experience. We hunted in Christmas, Florida. This gator was nine feet long and weighed just over 200 pounds. I went down with my buddy Cody Stokes. We were pretty worried that because of tropical storm Fay that we weren’t going to get to hunt, but in the end we had two great nights to hunt.
Going into the hunt I really didn’t know what to expect. I did as much research as I could but nothing really prepared me for what was going to take place. We hunted on an airboat all night. In the two nights we got out I estimate that we saw over 200 gators. We initially started hunting them with a bow, but found that due to the conditions(high water) that we would never get a gator a trophy size gator. We then switched to a harpoon and luckily got two gators. I was amazed at how technical and difficult it was to first find a trophy and next to harvest it. All in all we had a great hunt.

Wedding

It was just a little, okay a lot windy at the reception, not good for pictures, but it felt great!

Flowers n' Things

Arica and her mom did a great job with the flowers! They looked beautiful!

Bryn's Night At The Reception

After not wanting to rest or take a nap all day because she was so excited for the reception Brynlee crashed on the way there and had a good long nap.
When she woke up she was so excited to see Amber in her beautiful dress.
She was also very excited to see the gold fish swimming in bowls on all the tables.
Once Brynlee found the little play house in the backyard she just wanted to play there...Aunt Arica was nice enough take her back and forth between the reception and the play house all night.

Ward Camp-Out

We had a great time at our ward camp-out this weekend. We love all of the fun people in our ward and we were glad to have a chance to spend some time outdoors with them. Brynlee had so much fun playing with all of her "best friends" that she was sad when we had to go home.
Nash is such a good little camper, he loved looking up at the big pine trees! He was the first one up at 5 in the morning, but he stayed quiet and waited patiently for some water to get heated for his bottle.
Brady had a great time sharing hunting and fishing stories and info. He's learning as much as he can about all of the new areas he'll have to hunt in this season.

Neighborhood Luau

Ride In The Mountains

When we left the house yesterday morning to head for the mountains, I was so excited to get some good pictures of the kids. I swear I did Brynlee's hair, it actually looked really cute! However, after riding on a dusty bumpy trail with the window rolled down for 6 hours, this is what I came up with...starving dirty kids! Doesn't she look like she's on survivor the way she's chowing down on that hotdog?! Brady found some places to hunt this fall and we all had a good time getting dirty in the mountains!
